Don’t Forget the Real Reason for the Easter Season

Hetepu (Peace & Blessings) Family.

Good Friday and Easter are right around the corner. What’s funny about this season is that so-called spiritual people talk about the pagan roots of Easter mentioning how eggs and the cute little bunnies correspond to pagan deities.  But they fail to see the real pagan aspect of this holiday, so let me explain.

Have you ever wondered why the Christian holiday Easter changes dates?  According to the early Christian writers, the death and resurrection of their savior occurred around the Jewish Passover, which is celebrated on the first full moon following the Spring Equinox.  That means “Good” Friday Jesus died and Sunday rose again.

Now, since we’re not pagan and do not believe in worshiping people (or things) who allegedly died for our sins, but understanding the spiritual significance of celestial events. During Spring Equinox, the rays of the sun shine on the earth’s equator making the days and night almost equal.  However, we see Spring Equinox as the return of life, light and warmth from the dark and cold winter. During this time, the days start to become longer and warmer and the nights shorter as we move towards Summer.  The grass begins to grow, trees begin to bud, the birds are chirping, etc. because Spring or Fruitfulness is in the air, hence the reason pre-Christians used rabbits and eggs to symbolize the return of life and festivity from the dreary and cold winter.

Spring or Fertility signifies the return of Life from a presumably metaphorical death.

Metaphorically speaking, we are talking about the Superconscious.

Remember, the Superconscious is the deep part of our being that Ralph Emerson called the oversoul and claimed that all of our power comes from. Napoleon Hill called it the Infinite Intelligence, and our Kemetic ancestors called it the BA.  The Superconscous is the basis of all western religious beliefs but due to a lack of metaphysical understanding, spiritual concepts were interpreted literally. When Jesus speaks of his Father in Heaven, he is not referring to a Deity but his Superconscious in the deepest part of our being.  Jesus even teaches his disciples to talk to their Superconscious by saying, "Our Father who art in Heaven..."

From the Kemetic perspective, Osar (Asar, Ausar or Osiris) is the Lord of the Underworld, the spirit of fertility (symbolized by his green features) and the personification of our Superconscious.  Meaning Osar symbolizes the hidden force responsible for rebirth.  The return of Spring signifies Hru (Hrw, Heru or Horus) defeating Set and restoring the throne of Osar or the return of fertility but spiritually speaking. This celestial event is a reminder that to overcome our Set (Ego and destructive subconscious habits), we must consciously (symbolized as Hru) connect with our Osar (Superconscious). Remember, according to the Story of Osar, Hru fought Set and was unable to defeat his more experienced adversary at war, until he consciously took a back seat and allowed Osar to take over. In other words, salvation is not given. The only one who can save us is US.

Remember, we did not incarnate to this planet just to be a child who needs to be constantly saved from everything. We came here to develop our divine power so that we can save ourselves.  We are Children of the Most High and eventually we have to grow up because we incarnated here to be a god and goddess. So, leave the "saving" for the true pagans who want to worship men because they are afraid to be a god and goddess.

It is great to purchase new things for children, but remember the real reason for the Easter season and Celebrate that you Know about Osar!
