Half Empty or Half Full

March 28, 2010

The other night my wife and I went grocery shopping, which we had not done for a couple of months now. We had a whole shopping cart full of food, which surprisingly only came up to around $180 after coupons and discounts. When we got home, we put the food up and then we went to bed.

This morning when I woke up, I didn't know what I wanted to eat. Since it was almost 12 noon, I decided to make a protein shake and add some blueberries (those natural North American antioxidants a lot of ppl forget about) to the blender. So, I went into the freezer, forgetting that it was full and a frozen box of vegetables fell out and before I could catch it.  It almost banged my toes up. The conditional response would have been to send a cuss and respond to the situation from a negative response. This is seeing the situation from the Ra perspective or half empty. Instead I caught my "SELF" and chose to see the situation from the Amun Ra perspective, which is seeing the glass half full and I said, "Well thank you God for the Abundance". :)
